Industry experts team up to offer insights at free seminars

Customer insight specialist Leisure-net Solutions has teamed up with marketing expert Bigwave media and payment solutions provider DFC to offer two insight seminars based on data and best practice.

The one day events, which are free for all their clients to attend, will take place in next month at the Doncaster Dome on 1 December and Bradley Stoke on 2 December.

The content is based on data from Leisure-net’s platforms and research and will see Director David Monkhouse explore clients’ customer feedback to examine what customers are telling us and how we can use this to impact sales and retention.

Bigwave media’s Digital Director, Simon Beer, will explain how digital transformation is shaping organisations and how this is being steered, to some extent, by data. He will also explore how digital information impacts and influences marketing in leisure.

Other experts on hand during the two events will be Carl Bennett, an expert advisor on local authority commissioning within the sport, fitness and leisure sector, who talk about “Data, Information and Evidence – Why, Where and What?”, focussing on why we need to consider local data and information, where it is likely to be found, and what it tells us about what we should be doing. He will also discuss the importance of evidence in an austerity driven landscape.

Also presenting is sales and service specialist, Lesley Aitken, Managing Director of Nurturing Skills, who will unleash data to show delegates how important responsive data is to sales success and how responsiveness and the quality of response can quickly differentiate you from your competitors. “Responsiveness is a critical sales skill,” she says. “In fact, it’s one of the most single important factors to your membership sales success. If you are not responsive to online enquiries you will miss out on new sales opportunities. My basic rule is – respond immediately to enquiries.”

4Global Director Alex Burrows will explain how the DataHub project, in collaboration with Leisure-net and Bigwave, is helping operators to make better business decisions based on knowing what works best, where and when, through accurate data reporting and relative benchmarks.

“The DataHub enables operators to securely bring their data together, align it with consistent sector data standards and then access useful business intelligence and best practice, based on more than 100 million facility visits,” he explains. “As importantly, these outcomes are being accurately monitored and evidenced, creating a continuous cycle of improvement to help operators put business intelligence at the heart of their success.”

The non profit making seminars are free to existing clients of Leisure-net, Bigwave and Debit Finance and just £40 for non customers.
