Right Directions launches induction tool to log and track staff training

Quality and health and safety specialist, Right Directions has launched an Induction Matrix Template to help operators manage, update and monitor the induction and ongoing training of staff in line with their individual role’s health & safety and quality management standards.

The tool allows a list of tasks and management procedures to be aligned to all job titles, enabling operators to log and track their staff training from initial induction to ongoing needs, as well as alerting management when refresher training is due.

Operators buying into the tool can add their own job titles to the template and amend details in line with each role’s specific requirements and the timescale in which appropriate training should be carried out. The tool comes pre populated with industry recognised job titles, tasks and procedures, which can be amended or deleted to meet the needs of each individual organisation.

“Right Directions’ Induction Template is a one stop shop for managing and recording new staff members’ induction journeys – guiding the process whilst managing each individual’s completion,” said James Bliss, General Manager at Stevenage Leisure. “I found the template user-friendly and within just a few clicks, a robust induction record is produced. The individual records are job specific and, more importantly, highlight all the tasks and procedures each individual should be inducted in, as well as showing the exact date they should be completed.

Gill Twell, Head of Group Operations at Right Directions said: “A personal induction record can be printed for all team members for training purposes. Once set up, with the click of a button the template will produce an individual training record and work out which procedures each job title should be inducted on and automatically calculate the specified time range it should be completed within, such as first day, first week or within the first three months of employment.”
