Precor returns to FIBO 2023 showcasing new innovations

Precor is returning to FIBO for the first time since 2019, showcasing a host of new and exciting products.

At Stand #6B81, Precor will showcase the new StairClimber, designed to cater for exercisers of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. The StairClimber features easy-to-negotiate step-on and step-off platforms, a trade-marked Dynamic Step Control™, which creates a consistent step for every exerciser’s size and speed, and an impressive range of between 20 and 165 steps per minute.

“Innovation is in Precor’s DNA; we created the world’s first Elliptical Fitness Cross Trainer and the world’s first Adaptive Motion Trainer, as well as being the first to invent the Quick Start button,” says Frank O’Rourke, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Precor.

“FIBO visitors will be the first to witness how we’re harnessing new technology to develop the next generation of products, each designed to meet the needs of our customers and our customers’ customers. Precor will showcase its new StairClimber at FIBO 2023 and offer one lucky visitor the chance to win one.”

People-first design

Precor has more than 40 years’ experience manufacturing and supplying commercial fitness equipment – boasting over a billion workouts across more than 100 countries.

Precor’s unique design and engineering approach puts both operators and exercisers at the forefront, with data-driven development and extensive lab and field testing delivering best-in-class durability, ergonomics and serviceability.

O’Rourke explains: “Quality is the top priority. Precor’s engineers and product development teams have built the best design and systems to ensure that we deliver top quality products. That’s what separates us from the rest and it’s a reason we don’t rush products to market: we have to be confident they will hold up in the harshest environments all around the world. If it does not pass, it simply never makes it to the production line.”

Precor’s new StairClimber undergoes rigorous testing, including 30 different assessments and more than 10,000 hours of lab and field trials pre launch. This also included endurance testing for more than 10 million steps with no failures, and being sprayed with a litre of salt solution every day for more than two months.

Proven durability

Launched in 2020, Precor’s Resolute Strength Line will also be on display.

The collection includes 21 pieces; 10 upper body, eight lower body and three core.

More than 200 customers and industry leaders were involved in a research study prior to its launch and each product in the line was also field tested for more than a year – longer than any other product in the history of Precor. This included five months of non-stop heavy lifting, testing every product to six times the full weight stack load and enduring more than 1.2 million cycles of durability testing on the vinyl pads.

O’Rourke continues:

“We are so excited to be attending FIBO and even more excited about Precor’s future. One thing I can say for certain; Precor is back to doing what it does best, producing reliable commercial fitness equipment and delivering on our customers’ needs through a full-service hands-on consultative partnership approach.”

The premium fitness equipment manufacturer and supplier will also be running a competition to win one of its brand new StairClimbers, and visitors will get the chance to meet Precor’s newly appointed CEO, Dustin Grosz, and Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Frank O’Rourke (read more about their appointment in this announcement).
