Mytime Active helps families make their money go further this summer

Leisure trust, Mytime Active, is rolling out free breakfasts, discounted activities and low-cost family sessions this summer, to help families stay active without straining household budgets.

The summer programme is designed to lower barriers to physical activity at a time when many families are cutting back on discretionary spending, but still juggling how to keep children entertained over the six-week break.

Free breakfasts are available on Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 10.15am at The Pavilion Leisure Centre in Bromley until 2nd September. The same free breakfast is also on offer at Mytime Active’s Hatchford Brook Golf Centre and Gym in the Midlands, giving families in both regions the chance to start the day with toast, porridge or fruit at no cost.

The Pavilion is also running £1 weekday bowling sessions, discounted family meal deals – kids’ eat free, and Family Splash swim sessions with waves, fountains and inflatable obstacle courses, giving families a range of low-cost ways to stay active together throughout the holidays.

Steve May, CEO of Mytime Active says: “We know the summer holidays can put real pressure on family budgets, particularly when it comes to keeping children active and entertained. As a not-for-profit trust, our aim is to make physical activity accessible, whatever a family’s circumstances. From free breakfasts to £1 bowling, we want every family to be able to enjoy a full day out without worrying about the cost.”

The offers form part of Mytime Active’s wider commitment to community health and wellbeing, reflecting its charitable status and mission to get more people, more active, more often.
