Lifetime launches Beauty Academy in Brentwood

Lifetime Training, the multi-award winning training provider, has launched a new Beauty Academy in Brentwood.
The Academy is part of an ambitious roll out to cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, London and Liverpool during 2016.

The launch was attended by Academy suppliers Aston & Fincher and Your Salon Store, alongside, local press, prospective students and members of the Lifetime Beauty Therapy Tutor team.

Thirty-year old Becky Clements from Basildon is one of the new recruits. She commented: “I was offered the 24+ loan to carry out my Beauty Diploma with Lifetime Training. I wouldn’t have been able to afford the course if it wasn’t funded. I’ve got a full time job already, so the flexibility of this course works perfectly and has made a huge difference to me. I couldn’t have done it otherwise. My advice to anyone thinking about a course in beauty is just go for it!”

Chris Woodhead, Director at Your Salon Store, added: “The academy is first class and reflects Lifetime Training’s experience and quality in other sectors. The academy is extremely practical through out. It’s modern, light and airy and ticks all the boxes. Simply put, Lifetime is setting a new standard of qualifications.”

The new, state of the art Academy features fully equipped treatment training rooms and continues Lifetime’s commitment to provide talented therapists for the industry.

Lifetime’s Level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma will be provided at the new Academy. The Diploma includes ‘traditional’ modules on facial skincare, manicure and pedicure, waxing and make up, as well as body, Stone Massage Therapy and Indian Head massage, Aromatherapy, self-tanning and Microdermabrasion. These are presented alongside business based skills such as working in a beauty related business, reception duties and health & safety practices, as well as value added modules on gelish gel manicures and intimate waxing.

Following research with salon and spa owners, the new course has a keen focus on client care and communication to enhance the client experience, which was identified by beauty industry experts as an area lacking amongst newly qualified beauty therapists. Developing and promoting sales skills is another key area on Lifetime’s Beauty Therapy course.

The Diploma provides blended learning options with online learning as well as practical sessions and assessments, including over 900 hours of guided training. In this way, students can pursue their education at an appropriate pace for them.

Mike Jones, Commercial Director at Lifetime Training, explained: “Our Brentwood Academy solidifies our commitment to provide talented therapists for the industry. At Lifetime we have a vision to create an innovative, flexible learning experience for our students. We are using technology to bring this to fruition, putting the quality of the learner’s educational experience at the forefront of all our course development.”
