Leisure-net and LIW launch Industry Confidence Survey

Industry insight specialist Leisure-net Solutions has joined forces with Leisure Industry Week (LIW) to launch a new Industry Confidence Survey.

The 2015 survey, which has been sent out to all operators on the LIW database in the lead up to this year’s show on 22/23 September, is first survey of its kind in three years. The questionnaire will gauge how confident operators are about the overall future of the health and fitness industry, their own business and its different income streams, as well as what they see as the major challenges facing the sector in the next 12 months.

Mike Hill, Managing Director of Leisure-net Solutions said: “All senior managers within the sector have been asked to complete the survey, giving their views on how the industry is shaping up to the current challenges it faces. We will find out what level of investment they have planned for the year as well as their intentions for new employment opportunities.”

The 20-question survey includes an education strand from award-winning industry education provider Lifetime Training, to discover what operators are looking for in school leavers applying for jobs and what qualities they feel young people bring to the work place.

Mike Jones, Commercial Director for Lifetime Training said: “We also want to find out how operators are getting behind the Government’s pledge to create three million new apprenticeships during its term in office, and capture views on which skills they feel are most important when hiring new staff.”

The survey will be broken down into public and private sector, as well as size of organisation, and the results will be shared with the industry in the weeks leading up to LIW. To take part in the survey visit http://www.efocus-net.com/dynamic_survey.php?data=1437119857.
