Inverclyde Leisure appoints Bigwave Media on five-year contract
Inverclyde Leisure has appointed leisure marketing agency, Bigwave Media, on a five-year contract to deliver its strategic marketing and commercial objectives, with the aim of increasing participation, boosting income and evidencing the trust’s contribution to the Nation’s health agenda.
The agreement will effectively see Bigwave become the Scottish Leisure Trust’s marketing department, devising and implementing the overall marketing strategy as well as supporting commercial initiatives as the charity grows.
Tom Gozna, Operations Director at Bigwave Media said: “Focusing on research and market analysis, I will be working alongside their senior managers to plan and directly deliver all marketing across the different business areas, including fitness, swimming, skating, the activity centre and events, supported by a designated account manager, our graphic design team and a social media strategist.
“We will work together on both marketing and business decisions to achieve greater certainty on sales outcomes and improve business performance, implementing everything from commercial campaigns and content marketing to SEO recommendations, demographic reporting, member analysis and PR support through our PRonline, ready-made press release system.”
Bigwave has been working with Inverclyde for three years to help drive participation and income, and the long-term five-year agreement follows impressive results, with Bigwave support to boost the leisure trust’s swimming lesson participation by more than 44% and related income by a staggering 82% at its Port Glasgow pool.
Kieron Vango, CEO at Inverclyde Leisure said: “Over the next few years Inverclyde Leisure will be working closely with Bigwave media, building on the success of our marketing platforms and launching new initiatives and strategies to support our diverse range of products, such as our Budget Gyms, Premier Gyms, Swim School, CrossFit gym and many more.
“The team at Bigwave do a fantastic job supporting our marketing across the board, including brand image, strategy and planning, demographics and research, onsite marketing and graphic design, as well as social media and local PR, and we are confident this new five-year contract will help Inverclyde Leisure go from strength to strength.”
