Createability develops new independent gym in Aylesbury

Leisure design and build specialist Createability has started work on Rush Fitness, an independently-owned health club in Aylesbury.

The gym is one of three clubs owned by Mark Anthony, 44, who opened his first Rush Fitness sites in Uxbridge and Southend in 2013, and will be the brand’s flagship site. The 24-hour, no contract gym has a pre opening price of just £12.99, which will rise to £24.99 per month when the club opens in August.

Createability won a tender to develop the 1,000 square metre Rush Fitness site, which is located inside Friars Square shopping centre, just three minutes walk from Aylesbury station, and work has now started on the nine-week, £450,000 project.

The development includes entry pods for 24-hour access, colour-led zoned areas for strength work, CV and functional training, an aerobic/spin studio and two changing rooms. The club will boast over 120 CV and strength stations and a 94 square metre functional training/crossfit suite.

Ian Cotgrave, Managing Director of Createability said: “This is an affluent area and the finish of the gym will reflect this, despite the low membership fee. Stylish, secure entry pods will welcome guests into the club, and there will be a team of 12 trainers, together with Rush Fitness Chief Operating Officer Rosin Holmes, personally managing the club.”

Anthony previously sold his world renowned personal training club ‘Mark Anthony’s’in Notting Hill, where he supported celebrities including Katie Price and Billie Piper. He has also worked with three Miss Worlds, Royal family and some the most successful individuals in the world.

Anthony said: “We believe that results driven by motivation, not a 12-month tie in, should be the catalyst for a long standing gym membership, so there will be no joining contract. And unlike many low cost gyms, Rush Fitness will offer a wide range of classes free to all members, including Spinning, Fast & Furious, Boot Camp, Mind & Body, Rush Hour and even Look Good Naked!”
Members can also upgrade to receive on of Anthony’s ‘The Rush Method’ training programmes, which includeMuscle Up, Weight Off, Beach Body and Get Ripped.
