Award winning training company launches new beauty qualification

Lifetime Training, the multi-award winning training provider, is launching a new range of accredited qualifications for Beauty Therapists.

Initially their Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma will be offered through three new Lifetime Beauty Academies in Birmingham, Manchester and Brentwood, with a wider roll out to cities such as London and Liverpool during 2016.

Celebrating its twentieth year in business Lifetime Training is renowned for its innovative approach to training, putting the quality of the learner’s educational experience at the forefront of all its course development.

Following research with salon and spa owners, the new course has a keen focus on client care and communication to enhance the client experience, which was identified by beauty industry experts as an area lacking amongst newly qualified beauty therapists. Developing and promoting sales skills is another key area on Lifetime’s Beauty Therapy course.

Lifetime Beauty Therapy learners will have the benefit of high quality tutors alongside access to the company’s award-winning social learning hub. Called ‘mylifetime’, this social community includes everyone who is undertaking the course, enabling better interaction amongst participants. The hub is managed by experienced tutors so that questions can be posed and assessments submitted. Within mylifetime, course participants can also ‘like’ and ‘share’ information files and participate in live feed and chat.

The Diploma provides blended learning options with online learning as well as practical sessions and assessments, including over 900 hours of guided training. In this way, students can pursue their education at an appropriate pace for them.

The Level 2 Diploma includes ‘traditional’ modules on facial skincare, manicure and pedicure, waxing and make up, whilst Level 3 features body, Hot Stone and Indian Head massage, Aromatherapy, self-tanning and Microdermabrasion. These are presented alongside business based skills such as working in a beauty related business, reception duties and health & safety practices, as well as value added modules on gelish gel manicures and intimate waxing.

Mike Jones, Commercial Director at Lifetime Training, explained: “For some time now Lifetime’s clients including spas, hotels and gyms, have been highlighting the industry need for a growing number of high quality beauty therapists, so our decision to extend our provision to the beauty sector is backed by strong employer support. Our goal is to provide a flow of highly qualified and industry-ready graduates for the beauty industry. As a highly experienced training company, we always put our learners’ needs first, ensuring that they have quality education and expert support when they need it.”
