Mytime Active appoints new operations director

Mytime Active has announced the appointment of Lee Clark into the role of Operations Director. Clark brings with him the knowledge and understanding that comes from 30 years working within operations and as a multi-site director within the health, leisure and golf sector.

Beginning his career as a lifeguard, Clark worked his way up the ladder, with previous roles including duty manager, general manager, divisional business manager and assistant regional director, mainly for charitable trusts, including CCL Leisure, Parkwood Leisure, Fusion and Lex Leisure.

As Operations Director at Mytime Active, Clark will lead, develop and drive Mytime Active’s operational agenda. His focus will be on making sure health and safety are a priority for employees and users of its facilities, delivering continuous improvement to the member experience and ultimately striving to improve health and wellbeing in the local community.

Steve May, CEO at Mytime Active, says:

“Lee is a highly respected leader who genuinely puts people at the heart of operations, making him the perfect choice for this role. He has a strong track record of building positive, inclusive workplace cultures where teams feel supported, empowered and proud of the service they deliver. Lee and I will focus on creating a consistently great colleague experience, developing talent from within and ensuring our teams have the clarity, capability and confidence to succeed, because when our people thrive, our communities and customers do too.”

Lee Clark, Operations Director at Mytime Active, adds: “I get a deep satisfaction from working with a charitable organisation, knowing that whatever money we make is going to be reinvested for the communities’ needs; that’s really key for me. Mytime Active is a great company, which gives a lot back to the communities it serves, and I am thrilled to join the team. I’ve known Mytime Active’s CEO Steve May for 25 years; in fact, back then I was his boss as I was duty manager and he was a lifeguard!

“This role resonates as I want to ensure that, whilst we’re a charity, we’re streamlined and commercially astute – delivering profits we can reinvest so our leisure centres are the place of choice for Bromley and Midlands residents, offering leisure and health services at the price that’s right.”
